I’m the English Teacher. I was born and raised in New York. I have been in Education for 17 years within a wide range of age groups. The very first, 1st grade students taught by me have since graduated college and some have started families of their own.

My educational journey started in High School, where we did 6 month internships at our local Elementary Schools. We were tasked with supporting the teacher in any way we could. I was assigned a reading group. One day as I’m shopping, a student I was supporting stopped me in the store with his parents. He described how I helped and even started showing his parents some of the words he could read. This moment solidified my passion and drive for education. 

I’ve since fortified my knowledge and educational pedagogy at Bronx Community College and Brooklyn College.
